The priceless moment - ICELAND by StefanHefele The priceless moment - ICELAND by StefanHefele
The priceless moment - ICELAND

It already was very late in the evening, when i decided to head towards Aldeyarfoss after the Godafoss shooting, to give me the opportunity of a good sunrise next morning.
I drove over 40 km in the late twilight on a rough track to finally reach Aldeyarfoss at the edge of the highland while it was almost dark.
Weatherforecast was not sure. I tried to sleep as so often in the positive hope.
5:00 am was time to get up. While i peered out of the window i couldnīt believe how beautiful the sky already was. My adrenaline helped me to get up as quickly and i hurried down to the waterfall. Dark clouds appeared from behind and it already began to dribble. I really was in a rush to get a good photo. Five minutes later, the spell was broken and I was a happy guy :-). As the adrenaline wore off, I exhausted went back to the car.

My photos are made for large fine art prints. If you are interested please contact me: info@artwork-pictures.de

It just shows us that Nature can place beauty in the most barren of landscapes. You did a wonderful job of capturing that beauty. Thank you!

Whoa, cool, basalt columns! You know, they photographed basalt columns on Mars pretty recently, which is important because basalt columns form when water evaporates off of a lava flow
