Equiped with snowshoes, compass and headlights we started our tour into the unknown highland of Iceland. It was 7 am and still dark for another three hours. After a few kilometers in the foggy desert of snow, we noticed that we had to be wrong and tried our luck with a GPS location. Thank God forsake was on technique and we finally found our hot-awaited goal: the icy Aldeyarfoss.
Even in summer, this waterfall is kind of a secret. In winter it was something really special to experience this spectacle live and without the help of a super jeep.
