Fairytale Glow - Le Mont-Saint-Michel

The famous little Island with the abbey on top is situated in the Basse-Normandy in North-France.
Surrounded by tides strongly influenced bay, lies this monastery.
Over three million tourists visit this unique place each year.
To really capture the essence of this fairytale place i went to the quite south-west side and paved my way through the treacherous mudflats.
The sky was very cloudy, but just before sun sets some unreal light broke through and i really was a lucky man

Now...wow. Seriously, the first time I saw this picture there was kinda this mix of motion - the blurry clouds - and yet absolut stop in time through the waves that seem to lay perfectly still.

To put the castle not exactly into the center is something definatly stunning, the choices of time on this photgraphy is really well done; the colours in the background really fits well into this.

As I already mentioned before, to put this movment into such a great contrast, and in the middle this old building, with the hight tower...Yeah, I have to say, it is pretty amazing.
