EPIC CREATION - Lofoten 2013
After waiting in vain for a week every night for several hours in the cold on the Aurora, I had no more desire freezing off my butt.
The day was very stressful and I decided to get into the sleeping bag earlier. My travelmate Felix just wanted to hear some music and have a cigarette.
When I was just disappearing into the dream world, he pounded on the car and screamed "NORTHERN LIGHTS !!".
At that moment the adrenaline grabbed my body and we rushed through half a meter snow over snow-covered rocks down to the slippery coast.
Lucky guys, that we were at one of the most beautiful coastlines on the Lofoten Islands this night.
Everything felt like a dream - the Aurora grew more intense and took colors from turquoise to even purple. While we climbed like remotely over the slippery rocks, I realized what incredible spectacle we had just seen here.
After over an hour of shooting I climbed with deep gratitude back into the sleeping bag and slept calmer than ever.
